Volunteer Projects
We encourage volunteers to follow their passion and introduce projects and groups that bring healing and education. Whether your passion is yoga, cooking, art, music, sewing...we welcome it all! Below are just some examples of some ways to help at the Westside but the possibilities are endless!
Child Development
Implement activities, projects, and groups for children
Being a strong support system for youth and children who reside at the shelter |
Community Garden
Create and maintain a community garden and to educate on sustainability
Teach women and children how to cook meals with fruits and vegetables from the garden |
Group Facilitation
Empower women and children who reside at the shelter
Provide psycho-education on life skills, creative expression, physical activities, and much more! |

Volunteers from the Willows Kiwanis Club helped construct a playground for children residing at the shelter. It was a 4 day-project of hard work and fun. It is an amazing addition to our program and will be enjoyed by many children to come. Westside thanks you!
